The 622 team met and reviewed all changes. This post is the final chance for edits prior to Fall 24 meeting where we will vote to finalize the document.
We discussed various preferences that came up in our prior meeting with stake holders.
ADDED a comment about an air tool or wire wheel
Caution: Improper use of power tools can damage the seal riding surfaces
imited use of abrasive tools, Wire brush is OK to clean the seal riding surface behind the inboard bearing.
ED Weight 5 minutes before checking oil level. (Ref RP655 for lubricating suggestions)
2 pcs seals- We kept instructions since both ProTect and GritGaurd are very popular.
ACTION: On Pg 13 Meritor Cummins will review and suggest if some axle models need to be articulated more than 8 ". Cummins wants to verify axle articulation needs to be 8-10 inches on some axles.
