Enhance your participation at TMC's 2016 Fall Meeting Through TMC Connect

TMC Connect, the Council’s member-only, online community, is a great way for enhance your participation at TMC's 2016 Fall Meeting. 

TMC Connect provides TMC members an environment to connect, engage and share critical industry information and best practices in real time. 

Through the various communities and other forums, members can conduct Study Group, Task Force and other Council committee work in a common, online collaborative platform; gather to continue technical discussions and share documents that will help advance TMC’s strategic priorities.

If you are reading this, you've learned already how to sign into TMC Connect, but feel free to send the following information to your colleagues and industry contacts about TMC Connect. As a TMC member, you are already set up on the TMC Connect site by virtue of your membership.  Log on using the same UserID and Password you currently use for TMC's existing website. 

Members can access TMC Connect, go to http://tmcconnect.trucking.org

Once you're on the site, there are five simple steps to quickly take advantage of the new system:

1. Update your profile by clicking on the link to import your LinkedIn profile (to eliminate the need to upload your photo and bio again, etc.).  If you don't have a LinkedIn profile, simply enter your into on the profile page.  2.  Use the Member Directory to search for at least three of your peers and send them a "Contact Request."  If you're unsure on how to do this, search for Robert Braswell and send me a Contact request by clicking on the link next to my name in the search results.

 

3. TMC Connect houses the Council's Recommended Practices Library. Members can access all currently released TMC RPs from the site. Look for the TMC RP Library Button on the main site page. NOTE: You MUST use Acrobat Acrobat 10 or newer to properly view TMC RPs.

4.  If you have an industry-related question that you want to ask your peers, go toCOMMUNITIES, click TMC Study Groups, join one of the Study Group Communities and post your question. 

5. If you want to join a Task Force or Committee at TMC, you need to go to TMC Connect to ensure you are officially registered to receive updates of task force activity, meeting alerts and minutes, drafts of working documents, and to participate in ongoing discussions about task force/committee activity.  go to COMMUNITIES, click TMC Task Forces, and sign up online. 

TMC Connect also features the Council's Job Exchange, industry blogs, and other information as well.
