• TMC Answer Center — This is a new community on our TMC Connect online platform. You can get to it here, but a shortcut link is also visible in the red header bar on the TMC Connect home page. I like to think of TMC’s Answer Center as a year-round Fleet Talk, in which any member can ask and respond to questions in the community. Please use the link to join the community, ask questions and help others with your knowledge and experience. That’s what TMC is all about!
• TMC Membership Depot —This is a new area on the Council’s public-facing website. You will see the shortcut tab on the main page of https://tmc.trucking.org, but you can get to it directly here, too. This area is a new one-stop shop for information on things like TMC leadership, staff, membership benefits and applications, and other important details about about TMC and upcoming events. It’s sort of a short cut index to all things TMC. But that’s not all that’s happening at TMC.
Webinar Series — I also would like to tell you about our webinar series designed to help you get the most out of your 2024 Fall Meeting experience.
TMC is holding three webinars leading up to Raleigh that are available to help get you ready for TMCSuperTech 2024 and our 2024 Fall Meeting. These are all Microsoft Teams online events and there are links provided below.
First-Timer Webinar (Wednesday, August 28 @ Noon) — This is a special webinar for first-time attendees that will help guide you through the workings of TMC and show you how to get the most of your time at the fall meeting and can be a value even if this is not your first time attending.
Pack Your Bags Webinar (Wednesday, September 4 @ Noon) — This final webinar before we meet in Raleigh is a great presentation to help you be ready for a productive week with all the Task Force meetings, Technical Sessions and all the other exciting meeting and social events that will be happening.
I’d also like to point out this year’s General Chairman & Treasurer Amanda Schuier will be hosting two more “Chats with the Chairman” this fall and winter. These 30-minute online chats give all members a chance to learn more the work being done at TMC and share input with the group. These will also be on Microsoft Teams and the links are provided below.
One last item I would like to share if you are not aware, is our weekly Tech Talk with TMC segment on The Dave Nemo Show, which can be heard on SiriusXM Channel 146. TMC Executive Director Robert Braswell co-hosts, and interviews a dynamic series of guests bringing you hot button topics every Tuesday morning at 10 am eastern/9 central. It is always worth the time to tune in.
In closing, let me say that everyone at TMC looks forward to seeing you in person next month but in the meantime, if you have any questions or want to talk about ways to get more involved, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at any time at lrambeaux@purkeys.net
See you in Raleigh!
