If you think education is expensive, try ignorance - or so the saying goes. Training is a priority for many fleets facing the rapid changes in today's technology. It seems that every month brings new challenges and changes to the transportation industry. On-going training will ensure that a fleet is operating efficiently under many new circumstances. But there is an area that many fleets may overlook; continued training in the use of VMRS.
A fleet would be wise to offer VMRS training to its employees on a regular basis. This would inform staff members of any changes in VMRS and would also be a good time to discuss any new codes that might be needed.
It's good to continue educating yourself and your staff on the latest technologies, but don;t forget VMRS training. Remember that while ignorance can be bliss, it can also be expensive in more ways than one.
