Attention! Companies are contacting some of TMC’s 2022 Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition members, attendees and exhibitors, claiming to offer our attendee lists. This is a SCAM. ATA/TMC does not sell its event registration lists or authorize any third party to distribute these lists. Others have received emails about booking their hotel reservations for the Meeting through a non-authorized third party. These emails are not coming from ATA, the companies emailing are not associated with ATA, and we believe they are SCAMS. Sad News About TMC Silver Spark Plug, Al Cohn

TMC Silver Spark Plug Al "The Tire Doctor" Cohn died April 28, 2021. He was 66 years old. Alan E. Cohn, of North Canton, was born in Chicago, IL to David and Yvonne (Levy) Cohn, and following graduation from the University of Illinois at Chicago, he moved to Akron where he entered a lifelong career in the Commercial Truck Tire Industry, most recently with Pressure Systems International. His career provided ample opportunity for travel, and Alan enjoyed expanding business travel with family, and it enabled them to travel to several unique locations over the years. Great podcast with HDT's Jim Park featuring Chuck Blake, and Bob Wessels. A fantastic oral history on fuel testing in trucking. Chuck Blake and Bob Wessels hardly need an introduction, but for the record, Chuck was Detroit Diesel's senior technical support manager when he retired in 2018, and Bob was the assistant chief engineer and a project manager at Caterpillar when he retired in 2006. Together, they charted new territory in fuel economy testing and validation. TMC and Fullbay have joined forces to present the 2020-2021 State of Heavy-Duty Repair report. This report is available as a TMC member benefit! This first-of-its-kind report reveals insights and trends in the commercial vehicle repair industry, including demographics, average revenue, the impact of COVID-19, and more. A few of the key findings from the report included an average gross revenue per shop of between $500,000 to $2 million per year. One of the great things about TMC Connect is that is gives you notifications on all of the activities in Study Groups and Task Forces and the ability to interact real time in the RP Development Process as drafts are being prepared for public review at the next TMC Meeting. You recieve notifications via email based on the preferences you set in your TMC Connect Profile. What does it take to be plugged in? Other than certain committees that are invitation only, all you have to do is explore under the "Communities" tab (located just to the right of "Home" on the top ribbon).
