Bradley C. Van Riper, 64, of Gerry, NY, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018. A TMC member since 1990, Brad was a recipient of the Council's highest honor -- the Silver Spark Plug.
He was very active in TMC's S.1 Electrical Study Group and led multiple task forces and contributed to numerous recommended practices and educational sessions. He was an active member of SAE International where he helped communicate the needs of the trucking industry for the benefit of fleet users.
The husband of Rebecca Van Riper, he was employed at Truck-Lite Co. for 40 years. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 8 in the Bemus Point United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m. Sunday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday and for one hour prior to the service Tuesday in the church.
